Settled Down
We were finally able to move into our apartment in Lakewood, Washington a few days ago, and we just got the internet service activated yesterday. Fortunately, I was able to survive without it by going online on my cellphone, haha. So, it’s actually pretty nice here, and although I do miss my family, I’m happy to be with my husband and do everything together. He’s getting deployed in December (nope, it’s not in November anymore!) and I’m really thankful for that cause we’ll have more time together before he goes to Iraq. We also found out that the base he’s going to is actually really nice and safe, too.
During the course of our road trip, we passed by the following states: Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and Oregon. I tried taking a picture of each state’s welcome sign but I missed Georgia’s and Idaho’s cause I was sleeping. I really enjoyed visiting all of those states, since I had never been out of Florida before.
We stayed at my husband’s aunt’s house for the night in Shelbyville, Tennessee. It was quite different from back home. All of the houses are big and really far away from each other. You rarely ever see that kinda stuff in South Florida. We also had a close look at his aunt’s cows. I had never seen cows up-close so it was cool, haha. Then, as we were going across Missouri it started getting really cold, around 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit, and us being from Miami are not used to that kind of weather at all. Because of all the temperature changes, I got a really bad cough that lasted almost the whole trip, and so did my husband. That really sucked but at least we got to see different states.
Here are some of the best photos; click. I had to use my cellphone camera because my digital one isn’t working anymore, so that explains the low quality of the pictures.
P.S – I have put up a new layout! It’s from Arcsin and I edited it a little. I know it’s sort of dark but I love the combination of gray and blue.
You came to Kentucky and you didn’t come and visit me. Hmph, oh well. I’m glad you guys get to spend some time together before he gets deployed, but what will you do once he has to go? Are you staying in Washington? And woah, I just realized, you moved across the country. o:
@Anthony, LOL yeah I moved across the country haha, it was a loooong trip. xD I’m staying in Washington until he deploys in December, then I’ll just go back home to Florida and when he comes home, we’ll be going back to Washington again, lol.
Hey Liesl
Cool new layout – I like the combination a lot
!
Yay for having settled down and having the internet now too
But lucky you for having internet on your mobile phone
Oh that’s awesome! Sounds really good. So you have a whole month more to spend time together! Isn’t it kinda weird to have him around all the time? I mean, you were kinda used to live without him being around and stuff.. how is living with him?
Wow.. you traveled through a lot of states! Sucks that you got a cough, but you’re feeling better by now, aren’t you?
Bye <3
Wow!
It’s nice that you finally get to be with your husband more! Now you guys can spend more quality time together before he gets deployed.
Are you going to stay where you are right now by yourself when he goes to Iraq? How long will he be gone? :\ Awws…good luck and get well soon!
Take care!
Yeah totally agree! Nobody can really be that “stupid” to get a zero. I mean, you try to answer his questions and effort should count too. Yes, quality is important too, but effort shouldn’t be ignored. They just should ban the 0 and F off their gradings xD
Yeah I really did
I’ve been doing pretty good on written tests this semester overall. My avarage is a 9,45 or something.. last semester I was at 6? So.. yeah.
Glad that the cough is gone now
That just sounds amazing! You’re soo lucky to have him, Liesl
Hah, I hate the internet service on my phone, it’s darn slow. I just use it for twitter or when I’m twitpic-ing something. :-p Glad you and your husband get to spend more time together, that’s awesome.
Wow, never been out of Florida? Well, glad you got to visit some other states. I love Florida though, it’s great!
Especially the weather.
Yeah in the south, you will see cows, lmao.
Love the photos! Gah, you’re so lucky, I always miss those darn welcome signs! haha. Once, when me and my cousins were going to Idaho, I actually told him to stop the car, just to get a pic of the idaho sign because that was my first time going there. xD
The layout is nice.
Well, I’m glad you guys finally settled. I can’t stay with out internet just even for a day so I’m really glad you got to go on it with your cellphone otherwise you would’ve died LOL (extreme?)
Quite a road trip, Oh, it’s okay it’s just a few states but i can’t imagine how wonderful it ti why didn’t you take me with you? Probably because of the fact that I live on the other side of the world, ah well.
When saying Tennessee I remember miley cyrus, which sucks. i want to visit it sounds quite country-ish. oh cool cows! I’ve seen cows before heehee but not really that close
Aww you missed Idaho? But that is the potato state!!
I’d love to visit anywhere in USA. It is one of my dreams.
Thanks so much! I was completely out of online life last months. I finally found what I love to do, PNGs and I need to stay online more and update and comment websites. I can’t remember last time I returned comments and read blogs. I missed those. High school is really hard for me.
OMFG you moved from Florida to Washington DC? You’re lucky girl! Sometimes I wish to were born in USA and live somewhere in LA or NY:d…would be awesome, but Romania’s ok:)
Liesl! :O I’ve missed you.
Haha aweh thanks, I’m glad you enjoy my blogs. Yes exactly. I don’t need all the extra information cause it doesn’t mean anything to my life and it hardly means anything to their life either lmao.
Yeah I don’t see how people are comfortable talking to people that they aren’t close with about such personal things like their sex life. It just makes me think “what the hell” haha. Cause I would never share such information, only with my closest friends.
Lmao, glad you liked the swearing emoticons. xD
Aweh it’s so nice to hear that you’ve settled down. That’s awesome news that you get to spend more time with your husband before he gets deployed. You must feel much more relieved knowing that where he’s going to is a more secure base as well.
Dayum, you guys went to so many states! I’ve only been to a few. That’s pretty cool how you tried to take pics of each state road sign, it would have been a great effect for a photo album. Too bad you fell asleep, but I would have done the same haha.
COWS FTW lmao. I’ve never seen them up close. I’d probs be scared.. bahaha. Aw sucks that you got a cough.
You took some awesome pictures. (Cows one is the shizz)
Glad you had a nice time.
This layout is great! Super professional as usual, and a really neat color scheme.
Great job.
@Cristina, Well I’m glad you’ve decided to just focus on one site (other than Emeral Hosting), cause in the end it’s all about what you enjoy doing.
And no, I moved to Washington state, which is wayyy up north, on the west side of the United States. So it was a pretty long ride! xD
Glad you like them.
They’re pretty in your face muahaah.
Yeah, I can imagine the cows having a really bad stench.
Oh that’s good that they were behind a barrier so they couldn’t like attack you guys lmao.
Ah well, I’m sure the photo album (if you make one) will be as awesome without the welcome signs.
I came to see if you were back up and you are but…all your layouts are gone…
WHY?! I loved them better then anyplace else! Why did you remove them?!
Hey
Glad you liked my blog post
Yeah I didn’t just want to tell the story to fast and decided to build that “past element” into the blog, even if it made the whole blog post itself longer.
I guess we all learn who our real friends are when we grow older and our lives change in generall and maybe also different things become more important and stuff like that. Glad you found people like that
It definitely doesn’t feel good, but what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. And that was definitely the case here. If somebody is going on my nerves or does something to hurt me in any way – I’ll say something. I learned to stand up for myself – maybe I should say thanks to M. some day..
Hehe, yeah
Though I wish that some boys would come xD
@Mel, Oh, I’m sorry! I removed them because there are already many sites that offer free layouts… But the page still exits: http://sweetbliss.org/layouts
I’m glad you like them!
But I could go to him and be like: Thanks for making me stronger – you big fat asshole xD You know, like acting as if I were soo grown up and stuff xD
Yep! But seriously, where are all the great guys?!
Wow, it’s such good news to hear you made it to the other side of the country safe and even better that you’ll have more time to spend with your husband. I think that’s really awesome!
I would have love to have passed through all of those States. At least now you can say you’ve been to about 30% of the country!
Ah, you missed Georgia (we have a really awesome sign) – but that’s okay lol.
The new them is great by the way. I also adore the combination of shades of gray and blue.
@Liesl, Oh yay!
Your layouts are my favorite! Thanks for the link!!!
Yup, I’m from Finland. I don’t know why they released the Twilight books so late here. I guess it takes some time to translate the text. And also maybe they wanted to wait until the second movie (which is coming out pretty soon) to maximize the “twlight hype”
Do you have a favorite state? Or a state you would love to visit one day..
Lmao aweeeh, too bad that you’re one of those people.
I think there’s a good point when you say it’s a waste of money.. cause it is LOL. That’s why I try to make costumes but if I get too lazy then it just ends up being a fail.
Haha, I’ll deff take pics!
Lol, at first I was wondering why you’d had to go through all those states to get to Washington, but being a clueless Aussie, I didn’t realize you meant Washington state, not DC. Hahaha. US geography has always confused me though, what with all those states.
I can barely remember the 7 (or is it 8? I can’t remember!) we have here in Australia. You can probably guess geography has never been my strong suit, lol.
Anyway, it sounds like you had a fun road trip and saw some interesting stuff. Love the pic of the cows in Tennessee! I don’t think I’ve ever seen cows up close like that in a paddock either, just behind 5-foot tall gates at a cattle exhibition.
Oh, and yay for your hubby not being deployed until December! It must be such a relief to have another month together to get settled in in your new home.
Hey Liesl
Yeah she definitely behaves sexier in this video than on her others. Maybe she wanted to to make something different, because her last video (at least I think it’s her last one; “The climb”) was pretty basic and without any special effects or her being all styled up and stuff.
Yeah, I guess this video was some kind of a sign. And I guess it was about time in some way. But that outfit really isn’t that bad; any other girl would wear something like that too.
Yeah, I guess that’s what makes it hard for some teenage stars not to go crazy. Because in some way they are “hiding” their real selfs from the world, because they have to live up to a certain image their record label wants – which clearly sucks.
I know that she has both parents, but it seems like her dad is around her more than her mum. So it’s off more Billy Ray’s task to make sure she is behaving good.
Yep, totally agree. I mean, in the end she is still a Disney Channel star and Disney will for sure make sure that Miley behaves the appropriated way.
woah,, glad you two moved over to a new place!
and yeah you get to spend more time with each other, it’s fun having roadtrips seeing nice places
I know, tell me about it. Some people are just so stupid. Lol I know, I never understood that myself, why should music determine the way you dress?
Well, I qualified for the free upgrade, when I try to get it they try to charge me £21 ($34 roughly) for postage and packaging.
So my step dad got it for me for free lol. It is awesome though, it’s a lot of quicker than Vista!
I’m glad you’ve settled down in your new apartment. Sorry you miss your family but I’m sure they’ll be able to visit you! That’s good you guys get to spend some time together! My brother comes home from Afghanistan for 6 months next week!
Wow, you sure visited a lot of states on your way! I want to go to America and just travel the country, would be cool.
Haha I’d love to see a cow up close, I’ve never been close to one before. :3 I hate it when you get ill from the rapid weather changes.
The pictures look awesome too by the way!
I’m glad you’ve settled in
It actually sounds like you’re having a lot of fun =] change is always hard to adjust to at first
Glad things are going well
Laarrv the new layout
